The Journal of Applied Sciences, Technology and Innovation (JASTI) welcomes high-quality submissions from researchers, academics, and practitioners. All manuscripts must be original work that has not been previously published and is not under consideration elsewhere. Please review the following guidelines carefully before submitting your manuscript.

3. Referencing Style

APA 7th Edition citation and reference format

All manuscripts must use the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition referencing style consistently throughout the text and reference list.

In-Text Citations
  • Use the author-date format: (Smith, 2020) or Smith (2020)
  • Two authors: (Jones & Lee, 2019)
  • Three or more authors: (Brown et al., 2021)
  • Direct quotations must include page numbers: (Smith, 2020, p. 45)
Reference List
  • Arrange alphabetically by the first author's surname
  • Use a hanging indent of 0.5 inches for each reference
  • Include Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) where available
  • Italicize journal names and volume numbers
Recommendation

Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote to ensure accuracy and consistency of citations. These tools can automatically format references in APA 7th Edition style.

All corresponding authors are required to provide their Open Researcher and Contributor Identifier (ORCID) iD at the time of manuscript submission. Co-authors are strongly encouraged to register and provide their ORCID iDs as well.

About ORCID
